The first time I thought about writing this blog was when my wife’s pregnancy was nearing its end, and the moment my baby was due was approaching quickly. As the date of my son’s birth drew closer, I found myself overwhelmed with thoughts about life, legacy, and mortality. I started reflecting on what it all meant and how this new chapter would change everything.

I wanted to document my experience so that I could become more aware of what was happening around me, understand my own thoughts and emotions, and learn from my mistakes. I wanted to capture the journey as it unfolded—not just the difficult moments, but also the good times, the lessons, and the experiences that I could look back on and learn from.

My son has now been born. It’s been two months since he arrived at the time of writing this. The time has gone by so quickly; it’s been a blur. I am planning to write in more detail about the birth and the first days of his life, and then continue writing this blog as events progress.

One of my other wishes with this blog is to build a community. I hope that, with new people sharing their own experiences, this blog can become a place where dads—and even mums—can come together to share their journeys, find joy in each other’s stories, and gain knowledge from the experiences of others.

So, stay tuned for more stories as I continue to share this journey of fatherhood, the lessons I learn, and the moments that shape my perspective on life. I would also love to hear from you—how did becoming a parent, witnessing childbirth, or welcoming a new life into the world change the way you see life? Did it change your priorities, your understanding of yourself, or the way you think about the future? Feel free to share your own experiences, because every story has something valuable to teach.
